Domenico Zonin named Chief Executive Officer and Massimo Tuzzi Chief Operating Officer

Miami, Florida (September 18, 2014)- Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A, Italy’s largest privately owned wine company, announced the restructuring of its Board of Directors due to company growth; which is set to provide effective growth solutions for both the domestic and international markets. These appointments underscore the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and quality. The changes took in effect on September 4th.

Domenico Zonin has been appointed to Chief Executive Officer of Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A

Domenico Zonin has spent the majority of his life working in and around the wine industry developing a comprehensive knowledge of the wine business and his deep passion for wine. He joined Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A in 1999, and has held many executive roles. In his new role as CEO, Mr. Zonin will continue to oversee the purchasing, production, and winemaking technology departments, as well as the strategic supervision of the family-owned estates and vineyards. Since 2013, he has been President of the Italian Confederation for Vines and Wines, President of Unione Italiana Vini (The Italian Wine Union), Vice-President of CEEV, Comité Européen des Entreprises Vins (European Committee of Wine Companies), and Vice-President of Valoritalia.

Massimo Tuzzi takes on the new role of Chief Operating Officer of Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A

Massimo Tuzzi, after gaining significant experience in the United States and South America, joined the company in 2002. With an in-depth knowledge of the major wine markets around the world, he has increased turnover five folds in seven years and raised the percentage of exports to 75% of total sales. In addition to his new role, he will continue to hold the following positions: Director of the Board and International Director of Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A., Chief Executive Officer of Zonin USA, Inc., and Sole Director of Zonin UK, Ltd. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Italia del Gusto Consortium.

“Combining the strengths of my son Domenico and Massimo Tuzzi’s business acumen, as leaders in production and sales, we are set to achieve the goals put in place that will successfully lead to company growth in the years to come.” Said Gianni Zonin, President of Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A. Francesco and Michele Zonin’s positions as Vice- President of Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A remain unchanged. Giuseppe Zonin, Gianni Zonin’s brother, has also been nominated to the position of Vice-President of Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A.
