Charlottesville, Virginia, March 16, 2011 – – Francesco Zonin, Vice President of Casa Vinicola Zonin S.p.A, participated in the Snooth.com’s Virtual Wine Tasting along with Gregory Dal Piaz, the website’s Editor-in-Chief, on February 2.

For the occasion, four types of wine were tasted: Zonin Prosecco, Ca’ Bolani Pinot Grigio, Castello d’Albola Chianti Classico and Castello del Poggio Moscato d’Asti DOCG. During virtual tasting, people learned more about wine and had their questions answered live from the experts.

Snooth’s monthly newsletter released a report that Castello del Poggio Moscato d’Asti Vintage 2007 was the # 1 searched-for wine on their website for the month of February 2011 and it received over 590 reviews. Thus, Casa Vinicola Zonin achieved top ranking over brands such as Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Villa Antinori and La Crema.

Moscato d’Asti is a sweet, well-balanced wine, with an extremely refined fruitiness. It is excellent at the end of a meal with desserts or just on its own as an accompaniment to conversation among friends. In Francesco Zonin words, “Moscato is rediscovery of the very traditional grape”. Mr. Dal Piaz praised Moscato as “an explosion of beautiful summery perfumes”.

Casa Vinicola Zonin, Italy’s largest privately held wine company, is one of the most popular imported brands in the United States. Snooth.com is the world’s largest interactive wine database and an emerging social network dedicated to wine lovers.
