Casa Vinicola Zonin USA Wins Gold Medal at the Ultimate Wine Challenge in New York City, NY

Miami, Florida, May 10,2012 – – Casa Vinicola Zonin USA, Inc. wins three medals at the Ultimate Wine

Challenge held at the Astor Center in NYC.  The challenge took place on April 23- 27, 2012.

Casa Vinicola Zonin USA, Inc. wins three awards.  All three wines scored in the high 80s – with ‘Very Good, Strong Recommendation’ Accolades.

  • 89 points – Principi Di Butera 2009 Nero d’Avola “Morello cherries, hints of cinnamon and black pepper lead of the armas of this rich Sicilian varietal wine. Well-balanced and refreshing, with a refreshingly dry finish and great character – a perfect wine for pasta with tomato sauce, grilled meats and roast chicken.”
  • 88 points – Principi Di Butera 2010 Insolia “Straw hue with hints of green. Smoky, menthol, herbal aromas waft from the glass. The palate exhibits sweet citrus fruit and white almonds. A zippy white wine.”
  • 88 points  – Tenuta Ca’ Bolani Prosecco “White flowers exude from the glass, along with a hint of chalky-mineral. Offers flavors of lemon verbena and a hint of sweetness. Zesty and pretty.”

Ultimate Wine Challenge methodology raises the bar when it comes to judging.   Blind panels of judges evaluate the wines to remove any bias.
