Casa Vinicola Zonin USA Wins Two Silver and One Bronze Medal at the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition

Miami, Florida, June 25, 2012- – Casa Vinicola Zonin USA, Inc. wins three medals at the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition on May 16-18, which was held at the Fairplex, L.A. County Fair in Pomona, CA.

Judges, a panel of distinguished wine experts used a blind- tasting method to maintain the professionalism, tradition, and integrity of the competition.   Silver medals were given for Casa Vinicola Zonin’s Castello D’Albola 2008 Chianti Classico, DOCG and Castello Del Poggio 2011 Moscato D’Asti.   A Bronze Medal goes to Zonin Rosé, which is the perfect summer wine.  Zonin Rosé “On the palate, is fruity, smooth with floral notes and hints of almond.” Pairs delightfully with risotto or hors d’oeuvres.

“ What this competition shows is that our wines are ones that people love to drink and enjoy!” said Pietro Morelli, marketing director of Casa Vinicola Zonin USA. “ Zonin Rosé’s award comes at the right time because we are launching it in the U.S. market in July.”

The Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition is one of the most prestigious competitions in the nation.  It has been around for 73 years— seven decades of tradition that began shortly after the end of prohibition.  Additionally, the competition offers an extensive wine education program that is available annually to approximately 1.5 million visitors.  The program is dedicated to educating the public about wine; wine tasting, and wine and food pairings.
