Casa Vinicola Zonin USA Wins One Gold, One Silver, and One Bronze Medals at the Indy International Wine Competition
Miami, Florida (August 31st, 2012) – Casa Vinicola Zonin USA, Inc. is thrilled to announce a huge win at the Indy International Wine Competition, held at Purdue University in West Lafayette Illinois, August 1-3.
Casa Vinicola Zonin USA, Inc. takes home total of three medals. One Gold Medal went to Castello Del Poggio Moscato D’Asti DOCG 2011; Zonin Winemaker’s Collection Rosato wins a Silver Medal. Bronze Medal goes to Castello D’Albola Chianti Classico 2008.
- Gold Medal- Castello del Poggio Moscato D’Asti DOCG 2011 “The nose is not super-intense, but apricot, white blossoms and fresh fruit are direct and clean as a whistle. Equally fresh and straightforward in the mouth, sweet but not at all cloying, it’s excellent at the end of a meal with desserts or fruit.”
- Silver Medal – Zonin Winemaker’s Collection Rosato “The color is intense and characterized by a bright garnet hue. Bouquet is abundantly floral with hints of wisteria and rose. Pairs perfectly with dessert, especially jam tarts fruit salads, pastry and ice cream.”
- Bronze Medal – Castello D’Albola Chianti Classico DOCG 2008 “Well- balanced and dry, with good structure and a velvety texture, it’s a perfect accompaniment for the richly- flavored dishes of the traditional Chianti cuisine, as well as for grilled meats and mature cheeses. An uncomplicated, easy drinking entry level Chianti Classico.”
“The wine experts at the Indy International Wine Competition recognized the value of ongoing commitment in valuing high quality wines, both as regards traditional labels and new ones,” said Marketing Director of Casa Vinicola Zonin USA, Pietro Morelli.
