Berengario IGT

The name "Berengario" refers to Berengar I, king of the Italian peninsula in 887 and of the Holy Roman Empire from 915 until his death (c. 924).

60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot

VINIFICATION
Fermentation transpires in horizontal stainless steel tanks; temperatures remain constant between 61°- 64°F. The wine is then taken to Zonin's headquarters in Gambellara and placed in Allier oak barriques withinin the Berengario cellar for 12 months. Afterwards, it is further aged in the bottle before being released.

Full and complex; a bouquet of red berries and plums fused with sweet vanilla tones

Soft and dry with pleasant dark fruit, smooth tannins and an elegant persistent finish
